Directions
You’re going to love how easy this quicksand sensory bin is to make! Start by partially filling your sensory bin with sand. Next add some shaving cream and mix the two together. And you’re done!
Add some letter Q’s into the bin to help reinforce that Q is for Quicksand. You can also add in some other toys like construction vehicles to push the quicksand around and Lego figures to sink into the quicksand.
And that’s it! Let the fun begin!
Make It A Game
Try pushing all the letter Q’s under the quicksand and have the kids try to find them all!
Sneak In Some Learning
As your child is playing, try asking questions like:
“What letter are we learning about today?”
“What sound does the letter Q make?”
“Q is for what?…. Quicksand!”
