Spring is in the air! With the flowers sprouting up around us, let the kids get their hands dirty with their very own garden sensory bin! Let them scoop, dig, and shovel while you teach them about fruits, vegetables, and the letter G in this Garden sensory bin!
As part of my ongoing series, ABC Sensory, we’ve been exploring a different sensory activity for each letter of the alphabet. Supplies
Letter G Shapes (upper case and lower case)
Directions
Fill your bin with black beans.
Add plastic fruits, vegetables, and shovels.
Be sure to add letter G shapes to your bin. (I like to use letter shapes in my sensory bins to reinforce the letter we’re learning about.)
Then let the kids go to town planting and digging in their garden sensory bin!
Make It A Game
Try pushing all the plastic food and letter G shapes under the black beans so they’re “hiding.” Then let your kids dig through the black beans to try and find them all!
Sneak In Some Learning
As your child is playing, try asking questions like:
“What letter are we learning about today?”
“What sound does the letter G make?”
“G is for what?… Garden!”
