I don’t know about you, but we can’t get enough of the Disney Moana movie around here! More often than not somebody in our house is singing “I’m so shiny!” (ok, it’s usually me 🙂 ). So naturally, with a house full of Moana fans, I set to work creating a Moana craft for the kids. And I came up with this super-easy Moana paper plate craft, inspired by the shiny Tamatoa crab!
You’re going to love how easy this paper plate craft is to make. Plus, I created a free printable to help you along the way. Click the link to gain access before getting started: FREE Printable: Moana Paper Plate Craft – Tamatoa Crab.

Supplies
Directions
First, have the kids paint their paper plates yellow.
While that dries, you can use the free printable PDF template or free SVG zip file, and start cutting the crab legs and head out of purple cardstock. I used my Cricut cutting machine for this part, but if you don’t have one you can easily cut yours by hand with scissors.
Once the paint is dry on the paper plate, have the kids glue on their shiny things.
My son wanted his Tamatoa crab to look golden so he chose all yellow-colored objects.
My daughter ended up using a variety of colors on hers.
Once that dries, you can glue the crab head and legs to the backside of the paper plate.
And that’s it. They’re all done! I just love how they turned out!
